Recruiting Flight Commander
Major Anthony Kusek, Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies
Major Anthony Kusek is the Admissions and Recruiting Officer assigned to Air Force Reserve Officer Training Detachment 025 at Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona. In this capacity he is responsible to recruit high quality cadets and ensure the growth of the cadet wing comprised of approximately 150 members. Major Kusek is a Reserve Officer with 16 years of varying experiences in three seperate career specialties to include aircraft maintenance, munitions maintenance, and acquisitions.
Major Kusek was born and reared in Grand Island, Nebraska before recieving his commission in May 1995 from AFROTC Detachment 207, Parks College of St. Louis University. His assignments include a breadth of both aircraft and munitions maintenance roles through the squadron commander level. Additionally Major Kusek deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base Saudi Arabia to make munitions preperations for what eventually became Operations IRAQI FREEDOM. Furthermore, he deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as the Deputy Intelligence Director for Joint Task Guantanamo Bay. Upon seperation from active duty in 2008, Major Kusek served as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee as a member of the USAF Reserves while working for Honeywell Aerospace as Quality and Regulatory Manager. He accepted a limited return to active duty for his current position.
