Uniform
Uniform of the Day (UOD) for Orientation:
Incoming students attending orientation should wear the UOD: Plain black or white t-shirt, blue polo if you already have one otherwise you will have the ability to purchase your custom blue Air Force ROTC detachment polo through the Air Force ROTC student Booster Club at NSOP, khaki pants, black belt, black socks, and black shoes that can be shined, not "CORFAM" pre-shined shoes. No hats shall be worn. All male students should be clean shaven and hair should have a tapered appearance, trimmed, and not touching the ears. Further details about grooming standards will be explained throughout the beginning of the semester to incoming cadets.
Physical Fitness Preparation:
The Air Force Fitness Program goal is to motivate Airmen to participate in a year-round physical conditioning program that emphasizes total fitness, to include proper aerobic conditioning, strength and flexibility training, and healthy eating.
Standards:
https://www.afpc.af.mil/Career-Management/Fitness-Program/
Be prepared for the initial baseline (ungraded) Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) tentatively scheduled within the first month of ASU class start date. The initial test provides a starting point for all cadets to improve upon during the course. Failure to obtain a minimum passing rate on the 2 mile run will initiate disenrollment from Detachment 025.
Achieving the minimum score in each category does not guarantee a passing PFA score. In order to pass the Air Force PFA, you must earn a score of at least 75 out of 100 points while meeting the minimum requirements of each category.
